IRADUKUNDA AMBROSE

I am the Founder of Green Guardians Conservation Hub, a youth-led organization committed to environmental conservation, biodiversity restoration, tree planting, climate education, and empowering young people and communities to take meaningful environmental action. I also serve as the African Ambassador of OurWorld2050 and African Lead for the Climate Communications Alliance, where I contribute to advancing youth participation, climate communication, and environmental action across Africa.

My leadership journey also includes serving as the Campus Director of the Millennium Fellowship at Makerere University Main Campus, Cohort C, and as a Student Representative to the Board of BCCK. I have represented the Kigezi Region in the Environmental Parliament, bringing regional and youth perspectives to conversations around environmental protection and sustainable development.

At the national level, I serve on the Youth Sub-Committee of the Ministry of Water and Environment, where I contribute to initiatives focused on strengthening youth participation in environmental conservation, climate action, and sustainable development. Through my work, I bring together young people, schools, communities, civil society organizations, and environmental stakeholders to turn environmental awareness into practical action. My vision is to inspire and equip a new generation of young African leaders to protect our environment, address climate change, and create sustainable solutions for their communities.
